River Ridge Renovations is a Hospitality Renovations General Contractor specializing in $100K – $10M+ construction projects throughout the United States.  We are in search of the perfect high performing construction professional for a unique performance-based career opportunity.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Work involves supervision of skilled workers and subcontractors in one or more crews assigned to individual projects. Work is performed under the general direction of a project manager and is subject to periodic review for quality, efficiency, work methods and following company policies. The supertindent will be required to be at the job site to manage crews/tradesmen ranging from 10 – 40 on site workers.  These projects will be located throughout the United States with a typical duration of 3 months.

Hospitality project types include:

  • Select Service Hotels
  • Full-Service Hotels
  • Hospitality Restaurants/Bars
  • Exterior Renovations

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

10 Years of Hospitality/Commercial Superintendent Experience with a minimum of 5 years in Hospitality renovations.

  • Strong knowledge in computer software (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, takeoff)
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and customers simultaneously; exceptional organizational skills are required and the ability to meet designated deadlines is critical
  • Candidate must always maintain the highest level of confidentiality and possess the ability to properly handle sensitive materials concerning the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills and organizational responsibility. Ability to estimate, build schedules, read construction plans, do takeoffs, organize project lists quickly and efficiently.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to train employees on the appropriate use of equipment and construction methods, techniques, and skills.
  • Possess competent knowledge of estimating, constructions plans, insurance documents and procedures.
  • Understand contracts, architectural plans, and technical specifications, and comply with all state contracting laws: NRS, NAC, IIPP, NVOSHA and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Understand the scope of work and budget. Evaluate plans, specifications, designs and instructions from the team and customer through proper project planning and kick off.
  • Thorough understanding of the practices, methods, equipment, materials, and tools used in construction.
  • Ability to interpret, lay out and work from written scopes, plans, sketches, and blueprints.
  • Ability to understand and manage all trades and means and methods in depth.
  • Schedule Subcontractors and Inspections

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DAILY

  • Plan, assign, schedule, and supervise the work of tradesmen and equipment operators engaged in the construction of your projects to achieve the estimated hours budget within the project schedule.
  • Maintain regular communication with Office and Field Leadership on project status through daily communications, daily field reports, and photos/ files uploaded to One Drive.
  • Set daily production/ task expectations the day before and hold crews accountable.
  • Adhere to the project schedule, notify management of any deviations before they occur.
  • Communication with entire crew including coordination/ cooperation with subs.
  • Plan, Schedule, and Conduct Inspections on time, always looking ahead.
  • Ensure the safety of workers, equipment, and the job site. Perform and get sign off on weekly job site safety meetings with present tradesmen and subcontractors.
  • Provide Three-Week Look ahead Schedules, update weekly.
  • Conduct reviews with Project Management to ensure project is on track.
  • RFI any unknown’s, send to your PM for Review and distribution.
  • Always keep a Safe Clean Jobsite, watch out for staff and guest, maintain a Safe Work Environment.
  • Do not allow unsafe work, PPE is a requirement on all our Projects.
  • Responsible for overall project success with a keen focus on communications, procurement, critical path, cost efficiency, quality, and profitability to ensure timely completion of multiple deliverables.
  • Assist in creating construction scheduling, budgeting, deliverables, and field observation reports
  • Attend project meetings, schedule meetings and project task creation.
  • Identify, track, monitor, and communicate project-related issues, job costs, scope changes, delays, Out of Sequence Work, contingencies, and roadblocks that may arise during the implementation of projects
  • Assist in project punch list management, administration, and as built drawings. Archive project files with PM when project is complete.
  • Represent and promote leadership, core values and culture of our company by supporting the tradesmen and enforcing the rules and regulations of the company and project.
  • Act as the primary site contact for customers, Owners, and Reps. Manage customer expectations and requests.
  • Plan ahead to manage the necessary manpower, materials and equipment demands.
  • Maintain proper safety and equipment certifications to complete scope of work. Enforce policies and procedures to manage and secure site and equipment.
  • Maintain jobsite books/ paperwork (Safety Program, Subcontractor Safety Program and all SDS for all material used on project (including Subs), Scope, Change Orders, JHA’s, Submittals, RFIs, etc.).
  • Perform additional assignments per project manager direction. (only once Change Orders are Signed By Owner or Owners Approved Representative).

Work is performed under the general direction of the project manager and is subject to periodic review of quality, efficiency, work methods and following company policies.  This position will require the project manager to travel to his job sites multiple times/as needed to complete the project.
